Michael Schnell - DLR

Michael Schnell received his Dipl.-Ing. Univ. degree in electrical engineering from University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree from University of Essen, Germany, in 1997, respectively. In 1990, he joined the Institute of Communications and Navigation of the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, where he is currently group leader and project manager of the Aeronautical Communications Group. He is lecturer for multi-carrier communications at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, member of IEEE (M’96-SM’04) as well as VDE/ITG, and serves as selected advisor to the German Aviation Authority (DFS) for ICAO/ACP.
