Peter Whysall - NATS Ltd

Peter Whysall is Manager Systems Strategy & Planning within NATS’ Technical Division, with responsibility for Technical Strategy, Systems Architecture and Investment Planning. His role focuses on working closely with operational colleagues, developing plans to ensure that NATS systems are able to meet its needs both now and in the future.

Peter studied at the University of York for 7 years, obtaining an Master of Engineering in Computer Systems & Software Engineering and a Doctorate based on research in to the use of Formal Methods in software development. After leaving York Peter worked at Roke Manor Research where he was involved primarily in the development of simulation software for surveillance, communications and ATC concepts. He joined NATS in 1996 as Head of En Route Tools Research, and has subsequently fulfilled a number of roles focusing on strategic planning for the Evolution of NATS systems.
