Ann Tedford is a manager in System Engineering, part of the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization. This group develops the National Airspace System (NAS) Architecture and works with the users and service providers in developing the operational concepts and conducting the system engineering necessary to support the NAS Architecture. Additionally, she co-chairs the Communications Working Group within the Performance-based operations Aviation Rulemaking Committee. The PARC’s mission statement is: Aviation community members working together to facilitate the transition to practical and viable flight operations in a Performance Based National Airspace System.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from Boston University. Prior to joining the FAA in 1990, she worked for Boeing on automatic flight control systems and for Martin Marietta on the FAA’s System Engineering and Integration contract. Some of the programs Ms. Tedford has contributed to include: Host Computer System, the Advanced Automation System, the Display System Replacement and Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast.
